About

Hi, I’m Irina, the creator of MindSharpness. This space is for adults 40+ who want a clearer mind, better memory, steadier mood and a calmer brain in everyday life. No scare tactics, no jargon – just honest guidance you can actually use.

Who I Am

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Social Work. I focus on cognitive health after 40 and create research-based, plain-language content for adults 40+. I rely on sources such as peer-reviewed journals and reputable public-health organizations (e.g., NIH/CDC/WHO equivalents), and turn them into simple, friendly articles about cognition – memory, attention, focus, decision-making, stress, sleep and everyday thinking habits. When it makes sense, I try low-risk habits and share what felt practically helpful – not as medical advice, but as lived experience.

You can also find me on LinkedIn if you’d like to see more about my background.

How I Write

I prioritize peer-reviewed research (systematic reviews, meta-analyses, randomized trials when available) and validated measurement tools (for example, established stress and sleep scales).
When evidence is limited or mixed, I say so clearly and avoid making strong promises.
I aim to translate research into practical, low-pressure steps that are safe for most adults 40+.

What You’ll Find Here

  • plain-language explainers about brain & mind after 40
  • small, realistic steps you can try in daily life
  • gentle support instead of fear or pressure

Important Note

I’m not a doctor, and this site is not medical advice. My goal is to help you understand what’s going on, feel less anxious about it, and make informed choices.

If affiliate links ever appear, they’ll be clearly marked and will never change what I recommend.

What I Don’t Do

I don’t diagnose, prescribe, or replace professional care. I avoid “miracle” claims and fear-based messaging. If a topic is clinical, urgent, or high-risk, I encourage readers to speak with a licensed professional.
